MapleGOOD started in the early days of the COVID-19 outbreak to crowd source and distribute essential services and resources to the Maplewood Richmond Heights community, but with the energy and support of neighbors it has launched into an umbrella organization with multiple project arms.
As a platform for reallocating essential resources in a dignified manner MapleGOOD has been able to support our neighbors and keeping in mind those neighborhoods close by without such resources. MRH is a part of the St Louis region and we will rise (or fall) as one. From the start, we have never denied someone from ‘outside’ the MRH area, including donations, referrals, grocery delivery, mask donations, and hospitals to support.
Using our resources for the good of all. MapleGOOD is not a 501(c)(3); we are a grassroots effort of neighbors helping neighbors and the community at large.
Mission
MapleGOOD is a community group made up of Maplewood and Richmond Heights neighbors whose mission is to foster a support network of mutual aid both in our community and in partnership with neighboring communities and organizations based on principles of solidarity, equity, and dignity.
Vision
By supporting one another, MapleGOOD creates a more vibrant, resilient, and connected community among MRH and as part of the St Louis regional community by utilizing values of inclusivity, equity, and mutual aid.
