The MapleGOOD Handy Helpers is a group dedicated to organizing the community to provide home repairs for our elder neighbors in Maplewood Richmond Heights.
The group was formed when an elder expressed concern that the chipping paint and deferred maintenance on the exterior of her home would lead to a citation. She lives on very limited funds and didn’t have the means to complete the job herself. Upon hearing her concern, several neighbors came together to help a neighbor in need, painting her home and completing the repairs that had her losing sleep at night. Thus, the MapleGOOD Handy Helpers were born. Rather than receiving a citation or deferring exterior home maintenance projects until they become a larger problem, our hope is that those in need will reach out to us so that we can rally together and help.

Who we serve: Elder & Disabled Maplewood & Richmond Heights neighbors who might need a helping hand. What we offer: Yard work, as well as exterior maintenance and home repairs. At this time, we are not performing interior projects, but feel free to contact us if you have a need for home repairs inside the house and we will put you on a waiting list for the future if anything changes.
