How You Can Help

Join one of our Facebook groups to see what's happening and where there is a need. In those working groups we try to keep our neighbors updated, point out where there is a need and provide opportunities big and small to be a good neighbor. Contribute how and whenever you like.

Most of our communication is currently on our Facebook group and the subgroups for many of the wonderful programs we have. Join the Facebook groups that interest you, or email or call the organizer to find out how you can help.
*Most of our Facebook groups are working groups for residents of Maplewood and Richmond Heights. If you are not a resident please follow our public page here.

Homebound Help

Student & Family Support

MapleGOOD started by offering services of shopping and medicine pick up and delivery for individuals who were homebound, due to COVID-19 risks, free of charge. The services expanded to supporting neighbors with affording groceries and medicine, linking neighbors to local and regional resources, and picking up and delivering food pantry items, and direct support. MapleGOOD has also helped organize birthday parades for neighbors to celebrate them, from a safe distance.

In an effort to support students and families during a time that has proven stressful for all, MapleGOOD is in the process of developing activities, projects, and programs leveraging community resources.  These may include virtual or socially-distanced workshops, tutoring, mentoring, pen-pal projects, and community art projects and activities.

All services will be available for any children residing in Maplewood or Richmond Heights and will be offered for free.  Background checks will be conducted on all adults involved in MapleGOOD’s Student & Family Support.

Several diligent neighbors maintain a Hygiene trunk on the corner of Marshall Ave. and Moller Ave. in front of the Immaculate Conception Church. The box is filled with hygiene and sanitation items. This trunk is being stocked daily.  Donations can be dropped directly into the box or dropped off at one of the managers' porch.

MRH Food Drive

Throughout the COVID pandemic, MapleGOOD has observed overwhelming food insecurity in our own community, as individuals and families struggle with job security and other factors.

We’ve been very fortunate to find connections with different groups and organizations who have partnered with us in providing food that we can deliver to those in need, within Maplewood Richmond Heights.  We plan to continue doing everything we can to ensure that all of our neighbors have what they need!

MapleGOOD Masks

This VERY important group was one of our first initiatives and has contributed so much throughout this past year during COVID-19.  Since the county has been providing MANY masks for us to distribute daily, there hasn't been as great of a need for homemade masks the past few months ... though they have certainly been very well-made and beautiful!!  You can find out more about all that they've contributed this past year!
