You can draw a simple outline of a mask to draw on, create a rectangular shape to fill in, or find blank mask templates online that can be printed out and drawn on (like this one) or you can simply draw your design on a full sheet of copy paper with no mask outline. Before being printed on an actual mask, winning designs will need to be tweaked and edited so create them in whatever way is fun.
Kids of all ages are invited to enter a contest to design their vision for a custom mask. There are no rules or guidelines other than to create a mask that they’d like to wear, make it appropriate, and try to make it colorful. If you need an idea for inspiration, try creating a MapleGOOD mask or one depicting something you love in our MRH community.
All designs will be shared on the MapleGOOD Facebook page and then the community will get a chance to vote for their favorites. We will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in three age categories (early childhood, elementary, middle/high). First place winners from each age category will have their designs printed on an actual mask for them to wear proudly around town!
