Weekly Update #4 - April 14, 2020

MapleGOOD Weekly Overview: Week 4
This past week we have:

• Shopped and delivered groceries to 3 neighbors
• Medicine was picked up and delivered to 3 neighbors
• 4 in-kind donations made came in and 3 went out
• 3 referrals made to community resources
• Show your support for MapleGOOD and order your shirt!  Only 9 days left and $10 of each shirt will go to support MapleGOOD projects!

Over the past four weeks, since MapleGOOD started:

• 616 people joined MapleGOOD
• 59 neighbors donated a total of $2,517
• 12 neighbors received financial support totaling $458.25

MapleGOOD Project Updates:

• Homebound Help led by Dessa Somerside
  • >50 neighbors volunteered to help neighbors
  • Shopping, delivery, and mutual aid is ongoing
• Arming Warriors led by Amy Peach & Susan Hewlett Peck
  • Amy Peach organized very successful donation drive for Christian Northeast's hospital staff
  • 8 healthcare workers have been matched up with community supports/buddies
• Social Distance Support led by Kelsey Laitinen-Richter (v1.0) & Katelyn Harris (v2.0)
  • Four neighbors partnered for version 1.0
  • 23 neighbors signed up to be matched with elderly neighbors
  • 6 elderly neighbors signed up for version 2.0
• MapleGOOD Masks led by Mary Kunce
  • 60 masks already made and donated
  • ~14 sewers
  • Many many people donated materials
  • NEEDS: people to cut out patterns and tape paper clips - NO SEWING NECESSARY
• Hygiene Heroes led by Lori Olsen McElvain
  • Launched this week!  New logo!  New bin at Immaculate Conception church
  • Many donations made, thank you to everyone
  • Big needs are diapers, wipes, laundry detergent, deodorant
